What Makes Film a Unique Art Form?
What is film?
It’s multiple pictures taken at 24 frames per second being played continuously to create the illusion of movement.
I was always intrigued with storytelling as a child.
I would write comic books, make films with my 1st Gen iPad, and make stop-motion animation with my toys using an old digital camera.
But I never realized any of that could lead to something.
I didn’t realize I had a love for film until I graduated high school.
Once I started going to film school, I was also introduced to great directors and their films. Ever since then, I’ve grown to love every aspect of film.
In my opinion, film is arguably the greatest and most expressive art form to exist.
And so many elements are involved in making a good film.

- Cinematography
- Editing
- Set Design
- Costume/Makeup
- Music
And so much more. If you sit through a film’s credits scene, you’ll see how much talent is involved.
